Kern River Preserve
The Kern River Preserve is located in southern California where the southern end of the mighty Sierra Nevada mountain range slams into the transverse ranges of the Tehachapis. Flowing slowly through the intersection of these two ranges is a broad swath of rich riparian habitat that borders the South Fork of the Kern River. It is here that the Yellow-billed Cuckoo, the Summer Tanager & the Willow Flycatcher call home.
