Ivory Billed Woodpecker

Back from the brink? We can only hope! Once ranging from the Ohio River Valley to the Cypress swamps of the deep south, this great Woodpecker lost its crucial habitat from deforestation and habitat destruction. There have been however, in the resent past, numerous claims and tantalizing descriptions of birds thought to be the long lost Ivory-bill. Never give up hope!
